You
Looking out across the
Sunlit fields
He stood in
Awe
Silent he stood
For a century
Gazing upon the unspeakable
Truth, no words could explain
Days shifted into nights
Into days
Into nights
In endless passage
Yet no time had passed
As his gaze remained shiftless
And his beard grew long
He stood
And looked into the soul
Of beauty
Laid bare
Love
Sunlit fields
He stood in
Awe
Silent he stood
For a century
Gazing upon the unspeakable
Truth, no words could explain
Days shifted into nights
Into days
Into nights
In endless passage
Yet no time had passed
As his gaze remained shiftless
And his beard grew long
He stood
And looked into the soul
Of beauty
Laid bare
Love
Guilt
You wandered upon the inconceivable
Buried beneath the tombs
Of Memory
Left in fragmented shards
Of misaligned mirrors
Broken
It was uncovered with
Just a brush
Of your words
Pure and honest
Like an atom bomb
A discovery you knew not of
Something not in your search
But still real
Molded and grown from spores
Of moments forgotten
Emotion remembered

Difficult Conversations
I am sitting here
Contemplating the life
That we have woven
Intricately placing thread
Upon thread
Stretching strings
Taut
While others remain slack
White and burgundy
Hues
A composition
With a melody
Left incomplete
As summer recedes
And leaves turn
Falling leaf upon leaf
The crisp northern wind
Takes firm hold
Leaving hopes
Frozen in place
Like the arctic tundra
Ready for the thaw

Passage
A slight chink
Left hidden within
The wall that time
Left standing
Hidden among the
Briarwood for none
Who dare to look
To see
Left hidden within
The wall that time
Left standing
Hidden among the
Briarwood for none
Who dare to look
To see

Turning
The world stopped
For but a moment
In the midst of
Joy and Yuletide
Stopped spinning
On its tilted axis
Under the shine of
Sun
Drinks and gaiety
Exchanged as the
New year rang
True
But left behind
Leaving a barren
Wake
Where spring refused to bloom
Hung in each
Home
A wreath
Long into summer
For but a moment
In the midst of
Joy and Yuletide
Stopped spinning
On its tilted axis
Under the shine of
Sun
Drinks and gaiety
Exchanged as the
New year rang
True
But left behind
Leaving a barren
Wake
Where spring refused to bloom
Hung in each
Home
A wreath
Long into summer
